Katsuya Shuzo (Sake Brewery) is located in the land of Munakata Taisha Shrine in Fukuoka Prefecture, and the first founder of Kansei 2 (1790) started brewing sake with the name Katsuya.
Katsuya Shuzo values the traditional way of making sake. We strive for quality-oriented sake brewing using the mineral-rich Mt. Joyama underflow water and traditional techniques and handmade methods.
Our sake has won many prizes, including prizes at national appraisals, and in 2015, the main brewery and chimney were registered as tangible cultural properties in Japan.
