Abokichi is a creative Japan-inspired food brand born in Toronto area farmers market in 2013. Both co-founders have a strong connection with Japan. Jess Mantell lived there for 7 years. Fumi Tsukamoto is Japanese and came to Canada in 2013. Our products are vegan, gluten free and Non-GMO (Non-GMO project verified). Abokichi’s OKAZU is the only Japanese taberu rayu sauce (“edible chili oil”) made in North America. It is super versatile and has UMAMI-rich flavour without using any MSG or fish/meat ingredients.
